So this is my first Blog. I have never had a blog before now and look forward to God's insiration in order to share with all of my friends and family.
God has brought me through many trials and tribulations and I am certain that I have more to come. I will start this blog at Minneapolis, Mn. in which I moved to in June of 2007. I came to visit my friend Kait in October 2006 in which we went to church directly from the airport somewhere in the countryside of Minnesota. I was extremely tired and I began to fall asleep in church (because of the long plane ride) so I sat up and began to listen to the discussion and topic. When towards the end of the discussion, the worship leader stood up came over and sat down next to me and began speaking into my life. He started talking about things only I knew, only God and I spoke about (If you want to know, you can ask. Anyways, I went back to California with this thought God had just put in my head and contemplated my possible move to a whole new place in which I had only been to once. So about mid December I got my answer and plotted my move only that was the problem, it was me deciding when to move, you see, God told me I was moving he just didn't tell me when and I assumed (we all know what that means).I kept saying, I will move in January, January past by and then February and then March, until finally, I sat down, thought about why I had not moved yet and realized I did not ask God when he thought I should move. So I did, and he said June 20th, go, and I will bless your trip and provide for you. So on June 20th, my brother and I headed out on what would be the best road trip of my life. My brother and I drove across five states and saw many beautiful as well as boring parts of our country. We talked and laughed and relived childhood memories, like the one time we traveled....nevermind....it would take to long. So, we made our way through Nevada, Utah, Nebraska, Iowa, finally ending up Minnesota. I came out here to work with an organization that has a transitional house for young men trying to come off the streets and out of addictions.
Well things kind of changed and I felt a strong leading to move on and pursue God further and follow where he may place me. I am currently serving with Salvage Yard church of Jesus Christ, and mentoring and disipling young men where needed, and to whom God might lead. I live in a community house of believers in which we love, encourage and challenge each other to live more spiritual and Godly lives. I love the community of believers here in Minneapolis, it is like no other place I have been or seen and getting together for weekly potlucks and prayer at different community houses every week is encouraging and uplifting. That is all for now and I will write more later.
